Warnings have been coming from all over the most informative, non-partisan, media sources. Since the Clinton campaign began, numerous articles and sources have exposed her militant fervor and the “Democrat-flavored” neoconservative circles she runs with. Not only has she expressed her intent to actually strengthen ties with Israel (as if Israel weren’t already a prime consideration in U.S. foreign policy), but she also threatens to implement the policies of her neoconservative advisers: expanding war efforts in Syria, ousting Bashar al-Assad, isolating and confronting Iran, and being fully willing to attack Russian forces and assets. The anti-Russian rhetoric has not been accidental.
With all of the articles from professional journalists, there’s no point to me actually making an article out of this post. The links herein provide a clear outline and some detail on what we must expect from the likely Clinton Presidency. At the very beginning, however, I share the first two articles to highlight:
- US policy is based on war, not on solving problems through economic development. Compare: total economic foreign assistance in 2012 was $31 Billion, only 5% of which is used for refugee assistance, while from the 2015 federal budget of $3.8 Trillion, over $600 Billion was spent on the military. That’s a ratio of 20:1 to maintain a military empire. Refugee assistance for the millions of refugees, many of whom were created by U.S. wars, is equal to .26% (that’s POINT 2-6 %) of the spending on militancy.
- Terrorism researcher and University of Chicago Professor Robert Pape has empirically linked terrorism to the US occupation and to the Global War or Terror itself. The following graph is an example
An article on Robert Pape:
Articles on the Federal Budgets for foreign development and the military:
The Center for a New American Security, a relatively new think tank, issued a task force study on May 16, co-authored by Robert Kagan and James Rubin, calling for a much more assertive US stance throughout the Middle East.
Old warmongers never die, they just keep writing their memoirs – but now a fresh crop of young Myrmidons is springing from the earth, and these immigrants from Hell are intent on carrying on the fight first taken up by PNAC
Here is an example of an article written in Foreign Affairs by a known neocon, a leading scholar and propagandist of The Adelson Institute for Strategic Studies
